Terms and conditions

General

1.1 These terms and conditions cover all events held at the club.

1.2 Any variation to these terms and conditions must be agreed in writing by an authorised officer of the club.

1.3 Unless agreed otherwise, the hirer will have use of the main clubhouse room, the bar (evening events only), the kitchen, the toilet facilities, the patio in front of the clubhouse and the grounds immediately surrounding the clubhouse.

Cost

2.1 The clubhouse hire cost is as set out above.

2.2 Non-members hiring the clubhouse for evening events or who want to use the bar are required to pay an additional £20 for a Social Membership.

Room set up

3.1 The club will arrange the furniture in the room as reasonably requested by the hirer with at least 3 days’ notice.

3.2 Reasonable requests for room decoration will be considered by the club but must be agreed in advance.

Cleaning

4.1 Cleaners are required after all evening events. The club will organise. The cost is included in the clubhouse hire rate.

4.2 Day-time hirers are expected to clean and tidy up after themselves. Alternatively, the club can arrange for cleaners at a cost of £75.

Alcohol

5.1 It is a condition of our licence that any alcohol consumed on the premises must be provided by the club. Accordingly, hirers cannot provide their own alcohol.

5.2 The club has a licence to sell alcohol until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 1am on Friday and Saturday evenings.

5.3 No alcohol is to be consumed on the premises by any person under the age of 18.

5.4 The club and the bar staff have the right to request identification for any person consuming or purchasing alcohol who looks under 25. Failure to provide genuine identification showing them to be 18 or over will result in them not being served and any alcohol being consumed being confiscated.

5.5 The club reserves the right to refuse to serve or provide alcohol for any person deemed intoxicated.

Bar/bar staff

6.1 The cost of evening events includes one bar person for five hours. Additional bar staff can be hired at a cost of £12/hour per person.

6.2 If day-time hirers require the bar, a bar person will be provided at £15/hour. Additional bar staff can be hired at a cost of £12/hour per person.

6.3 All bar staff must be provided by the club.

Food

7.1 Hirers are responsible for providing any food they wish to serve. All food to be served must be agreed with the club in advance.

7.2 The clubhouse kitchen will be available for keeping food cold or heating it up.

7.3 The hirer is responsible for disposing of any food waste into the correct waste bin at the end of the event.

Music

8.1 Hirers are responsible for arranging their own musical entertainment. All arrangements must be agreed with the club in advance.

8.2 Hirers are expected to be considerate towards the club’s neighbours; both as regards the level of noise and the timing of music.

Damage

9.1 Hirers will be liable for any breakages or damage to the clubhouse, its contents or the grounds.
